The warmth of the finished top depends on the chosen fabric and construction; sleeve length alone does not determine insulation.

Review the actual sample for softness, opacity, stretch recovery and comfort at the seams. If moisture management, breathability or a specific performance standard matters to your order, put that requirement in the brief and ask what evidence is available for the selected material. Avoid treating a general fabric description as a measured performance claim.

Fit, Sleeves and Neckline: Give Players Room to Move

Warm-up drills involve reaching, turning and bending. Compare chest width, body length, sleeve length and shoulder shape against garments your players already wear comfortably. Check whether the hem rides up when arms are raised and whether cuffs feel restrictive. A size label such as M or L is useful only alongside a measurement chart.

Raglan sleeves, like those in this concept, create a seam running from the neckline towards the underarm. Set-in sleeves offer another construction option. Choose by the sample’s fit and movement rather than assuming one seam shape suits every player. Confirm crewneck, V-neck or another available collar style in the artwork brief.

For squads with adult, women’s and youth players, request the appropriate size specifications for each group. If the top will be worn over another jersey, assess it with that layer underneath. Keep one final size list with the quantity of every size before production approval.
